So, day three has been amazing. It is hard sometimes to focus on what God's will is for us and we do the opposite. Many times I do the opposite. I am trying really hard to listen to my heart. Sometimes what we want isn't always what God wants for us. Today, the verses I read made a lot of sense and hit home with me.
Beginning and End (Rev 22:13) I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
Blessed and only Ruler (1 Tim 6:15) which God will bring about in his own time - God, the blessed and Only Ruler, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Bread of God (John 6:33) For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.
I feel when Jesus told the crowd (in John, chapter 6) that they are not to work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life. The only way to have eternal life is to believe. We are not here to serve man. We are going to do things that make others judge us and make us feel bad about ourselves, but if it is in your heart, it is probably the right thing. I mean do you think Jesus really wanted to be crucified? Probably not, but that was God's plan. He was the chosen one, to die for our sins. Everything stops with Jesus, meaning he is the final and only answer. The other day, their was a homeless man passing out fliers and I didn't want to stop because I only had $2 on me and I just wanted to get home. However, I rolled down my window and gave him what I had. I took the flyer and I was really blessed. I think he just appreciated having someone stop and say hello. His picture was in the flyer and he was proud to show me. Instead of being another person drive past him, I listened to my heart. He made my day and I made his. It's the little, random acts of kindness that are God's will.
