Light of the World

It is funny how things work out in life....As I have been studying and reading more scripture, I go back and read my journal sometimes.  All the stuff leading up to today and the past couple of weeks have actually led me to where I am now. Coincidence? Nope, it is the Lord working in his perfect way for me.  Just like John 8:12, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. 

I have been through a lot for a 29 year old. I have lost all of my grandparents, except my lovely Ma-ma, Charlene, whom I love.  I actually watched one of my grandparents die at 14, I lost three close friends before I was 25, my 2 year old cousin was murdered and I had to testify, been through a horrible miscarriage, the list goes on, I could literally write a book, BUT I have never lost my FAITH in CHRIST.  Now, I am not going to say I haven't gotten mad at God, but I have never lost my FAITH.  

Here is something I wrote back in February: "God has kept me safe even when I was troubled.  He always loves me. I believe in him with all my heart.  He has enabled me to look over all the heartaches in life and taught me no matter what there is nothing I can't do with him on my side. I am at the point where God is talking to me. I am suppose to do great things on this earth. I don't have to be a Pastor or have a huge vocabulary to speak about God.  Just the mention of his name and sharing a story is enough.  God is my light in this world, is he yours ?
